Jonkers recollected this rare Somalian species, and gave an account of it in Asklepios 70. Would this plant be the Jonkers collection? Do you still have it? I also noticed in a previous letter your efforts to pollinate one of these fascinating plants. I have also some in my collection, but have lost some valuable ones. The one shown here was described by P. Hanacek and M. Ricanek in Asklepios 80, from a plant collected by them in Yemen. There are, by my last count, 11 species and one subspecies in this genus.".
